This Easter I spent a long weekend walking in the Lake District. I discovered lots of great spots that I’ve written about in my destination guide to the Lakes, but I spent so much of the weekend with my camera pressed up against my face trying to capture the area’s beauty and charm I thought it deserved a separate photo post.
From rolling hills, luscious green grass and pink flowering blossom to bustling tea shops and drizzly days on windswept mountains, the Lake District is one of the best areas England has to offer. Here’s my weekend in pictures:
Faeryland cafe where you can sip hot pink apple juice and then row a pastel coloured boat on the lake
April blossom over Grasmere village
The view on the Coffin Walk from Ambleside to Grasmere
Sarah Nelson’s gingerbread shop, where the smell of sweet baking biscuits wafts through Grasmere
